Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. PDVSA
Golf of Paria, Sucre State, Venezuela
The Oceanographic and Meteorological studies of the Corocoro Project cover the Gulf of Paria and the Gasiferous Blocks of the Mariscal Sucre Project.. Its purpose are the oceanographic and meteorological characterization of the region for basic and detailed engineering ends, as well as support of rig operation, construction and installation of production facilities and off-shore hydrocarbon transport.
SCOPE OF WORK
Oceanographic Measurements: Current Profiles, Directional Waves, Tides, Temperature, Salinity. Meteorological Measurements: Wind, Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, Pluviosity, Solar Radiation and UV. Real time visualization. Studies: Process, Analysis, Characterization of the Currents Regime, Wind and Tides, Thermal and Halina Spatial Variations, Adjustment of the Model of Wave Climate. Equipment AXYS 3-Meter and WatchKeeper with Satellite Telemetry Oceanographic Buoys. Nortek Continental and AquaPro Long range ADCP Stations in Trawlproof Bases with Remote Control releasers. CTD Valeport and SeaBird Profilers. AXYS Rig Sentinel and Davis Vantage Pro-2 Meteorological Stations. The data collected by the surface stations (buoys and meteorological stations) are transmitted by satellite to the process center and visualized by the client in real time through internet private Webpage.
